Apprentice Application Process
When Do You Accept Applications?
Due to the high volume of recent applications, we will temporarily stop taking applications until further notice. A notice will be posted when we resume taking applications.
How Do I Apply?
An individual must apply in person, on the above mentioned day and time, and bring his or her valid Illinois driver's license to apply for the Apprenticeship Program.
What are the Minimum Qualifications Needed to Apply?
Age: All applicants must be at least 18 years of age; proof of age is required.
Driver's License: All applicants must possess a valid Illinois driver's license and maintain such for the duration of the apprenticeship.
Education: All applicants must have completed a minimum of two (2) years of high school. You must be able to provide a copy of your transcript for those two years.
Geographic Residence: All applicants must be a resident of one of the following Illinois counties: Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Fayette, Green, Jefferson, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison (includes both sides of the Mississippi River), Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Perry, Randolph (includes Kaskaskia Island, Horse Island and Crane Island), St. Clair, and Washington.
Legal Residency: All applicants must be a legal resident of the United States, and, if not a citizen of the United States, you must be actively pursuing steps to secure such citizenship. You must be able to provide a copy of your social security card or birth certificate.
Physical Ability: All applicants must have the necessary physical ability to do the manual work of the trade. All applicants must pass a physical examination and drug screening by a licensed facility, after selection and prior to placement on the job.
